Nanking Blue Nanking Blue is a seasonal colour name introduced in 1936 to describe a blue colour found in Chinese silks.Nanjing formerly Romanized as Nanking and Nankin, was the largest city in the world from 1358 to 1425 with a population of 487,000 in 1400. This lovely bright blue has been used for many centuries.
Grass Green
This colour was standardised in 1934. It is one of the oldest existing colour names with 700A.D. as the earliest known record. The colour here shown is a general representation of many grass samples submitted by textile and other colour using industries.
Willow Grey
A characteristic colour of the buds of Willow. Introduced into seasonal ranges in 1942. A warm, slightly brownish grey.
